WHAT YOU CAN DO, WHAT YOU CAN USE
Buy Safer. When you shop, look for products with the Design for the Environment "DfE" label. Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships. FBNP reflects EPA's commitment to the goals of the White House Office of Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships, a priority of President Obama's. Through this initiative, EPA will focus on a center to work with faith-based and neighborhood groups, a national plan of action, partnerships between those organizations and government, and online environmental education tools.

State of the Environment Photo Project & "Locations"
- Under this project, you can take a photo of the environment "as you see it" and submit it to the State of the Environment Photo Project. This photo project builds on Documerica, a collection of thousands of photos of the 1970s American environment. See the old collection, and find out how you can submit photos (through Flickr) to the new collection. Selected submitted photos may be used in a display during Earth Day 2012.

- As a part of the State of the Environment photo project, we're ALSO kicking off a year-long fun challenge to invite photo "updates" of 1970s Documerica photos. How it works: Each week we'll choose a few photos from the Documerica collection and invite you to submit a photo you took that shows how that location looks today. The first challenge is "Near Boston, Logan Airport" - but we'll be using photos from many other parts of the country, too, over the coming year. So grab your camera and read more about this, at
