ReplyDeleteI would say yes. I had a diamondback that I put on a 22 and it failed to make it through an entire year. I put a Viper HS 2.5-10x44 on my girlfriend's 7mm08 and so far it has performed much more reliably. That being said, I've become very hesitant to buy much from Vortex recently, I've now sent back 1 riflescope for warranty and 2 spotting scopes.
ReplyDeleteCongrats. I own DDM4 V7, v7 pro, v11slw, v2 and v5. In my opinion best rifles out there. I remember when I bought my first DD. I called them direct as I had around 7k rounds through the barrel and was wondering if I would need to replace the barrel anytime soon. The DD rep laughed and said I was just beginning to break it in. Still shooting the hell out of it 6 years later and as accurate as the day I purchased it. None of my DD’s have ever failed me. ReplyDeleteI am looking to bid on a Colt 6600DH without bayo lug with the accessories and case. Serial number is SP2297xx which I believe would be a 1988 or 1989. I've heard Colt Rifles in the late 80's had spotty quality before the change in management in 1990, so I was curious if I should be cautious on these years. I do really want a 6600DH for my collection, but am wondering if the newer ones w/o the bayo lug are better quality.
