Sunwise poster contest vote (due May 8): Vote now for your favorite poster to promote sun safety and prevent skin cancer! Students from over 30 states entered the "SunWise with SHADE Poster Contest." Now it’s time to pick the national winner from among the best in each state. https://dcdonline.org/Vote/SHADE/1237
Aquatic data challenge (due May 15): The National Aquatic Resource Surveys Campus Research Challenge encourages college and grad students to use NARS data to conduct further scientific research and analysis. Small business nominations (due May 9): We’re looking for small business representatives to participate as consultants. We’re considering steps to reduce lead based paint exposure from renovation, repair, and painting public or commercial buildings. Find out how to nominate a representative.
Waterway app: Find information on the condition of thousands of lakes, rivers, and streams with the "How's My Waterway" app and website. The app was recently updated and now includes data on local drinking water sources, a map-oriented version designed for museum kiosks or touch screens, and more.
