Energy Star dryers. If you're shopping for a new clothes dryer, look for the Energy Star label to help choose a highly efficient electric, gas, or compact dryer. Dryers meeting the Energy Star standard use a variety of technologies to help save energy such as improved dryness sensors, heat pumps to recapture hot air, and "smart grid" connectivity with participating power utilities.
Hot tips for a cool summer:
Try EnviroAtlas. EPA's new EnviroAtlas tool is designed to help communities and researchers make informed policy and planning decisions related to the environment and ecosystems. EnviroAtlas includes over 300 data layers, letting you analyze how decisions affect ecosystems and their ability to provide goods and services. Ideas for Marinas. Marinas can help reduce pollution and protect the local environment by efficiently using materials and energy, and making changes to water or land operations.
