Save energy, save money:
- Light the Moment. We're launching a year-long effort to educate people about the benefits of Energy Star certified lighting, and calling on Americans to change out their inefficient light bulbs with Energy Star certified LED bulbs. In collaboration with Energy Star retail, manufacturer, and utility partners, the goal is to change more than 300 million bulbs in one year. Collectively, a change-out of this magnitude would save Americans about $1.5 billion dollars in annual energy bills and prevent 17 billion pounds of annual greenhouse gas emissions. - Rule Your Attic. As the weather cools down, it's a perfect time to get up in your attic and check insulation levels. Did you know that 90 percent of American homes are under-insulated? Find out how the ENERGY STAR "Rule Your Attic" campaign can help you save energy and money, increase your home's comfort, and reduce pollution that contributes to climate change.
