Campus Rainworks Challenge (due Sept 30). Are you a college student? Under the Campus Rainworks Challenge, student teams and their faculty advisor design an innovative green infrastructure project for their campus that effectively manages stormwater runoff while benefitting the campus community and the environment. Building waste management. Are you a building owner or manager? EPA's Energy Star Portfolio Manager has been expanded to let building managers benchmark 29 types of waste across four different metrics, alongside their existing sustainability management indicators. EPA and members of industry worked to identify key performance metrics for waste and materials management. Read more:

VIDEOS - AUGUST RELEASES
Heavy-Duty Emissions Standards: EPA's heavy-duty phase-two rule reduces carbon emissions and improves fuel efficiency of heavy-duty vehicles, helping to address climate change and energy security. The final standards are expected to lower CO2 emissions by approximately 1.1 billion metric tons, save vehicle owners fuel costs of about $170 billion, and reduce oil consumption by up to 2 billion barrels over the lifetime of the vehicles sold under the program.
