The 2011 BMW 535i sedan is pleasing to the eye, with a streamlined silhouette, and it's pretty pleasant to drive, as well.

Today's question:
Q: Now that the PT Cruiser is gone, will the HHR be next?

A: Hope not. It's kinda cool. It is manufactured at a low-cost site -- Ramos Arizpe, Mexico -- so it should have a lower breakeven point than if it were made at a higher-cost factory. That's in its favor. And in these days of obsession with mpg, it can advertise 30-plus on the highway. First-half sales were up 23.9%, another bright sign. (Though it's not easy to tell how much of a sales jump might be due to really big -- profit-killing -- incentives and/or low-profit sales to fleets.)
