BAN STRONGLY CONDEMNS SHOOTING OUTSIDE JEWISH SCHOOL IN FRANCE

Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has deplored the shooting that took place outside a Jewish school in Toulouse, France, which resulted in the deaths of four people, including three children.

"He condemns in the strongest possible terms this act of violence and expresses his sincere condolences to the victims' families and the Jewish community, as well to the Government and people of France," his spokesperson said in a <"http://www.un.org/sg/statements/index.asp?nid=5927">statement issued last night.

A rabbi and his two young sons, as well as the seven-year-old daughter of the head teacher at the school, were killed in Monday's attack.
