1) Sustainable Communities Town Hall Monday 6/17
 
For the fourth anniversary of the HUD-DOT-EPA Partnership for Sustainable Communities, there will be a Twitter town hall on Monday, June 17 at 1:30pm ET. Join us for a virtual discussion with officials and watch the live webstream.

Twitter users may ask questions in advance or during the Town Hall using hashtag #sustainableqs (you don't need a Twitter account to just watch the town hall event).

2) Share Your King Tide Photos!
 
On approximately June 21-25, areas of the east coast of the U.S. will experience a "king tide," the highest tide cycle of the year. A king tide is a natural phenomenon caused by alignment of the sun and moon, but can cause localized flooding in low-lying areas.

If you take photos of king tides and high sea levels, upload your image in Flickr with "King Tide" in the description or as a tag. Then share it with the State of the Environment photo project. Read more about this at:
