Protect children from accidental poisoning by household substances. Lock up household pesticides and chemicals in a high cabinet out of the reach of children. March 16-22 is National Poison Prevention Week.

New vehicle & fuel standards slash emissions of harmful pollutants. The standards will prevent up to 2,000 premature deaths and 50,000 cases of respiratory illnesses in children.

Protecting farm workers. Proposed safety measures will better protect farm workers from pesticide exposure.

Water research challenge (due May 15). The National Aquatic Resource Survey Campus Research Challenge invites college and graduate students to develop innovative ways to protect water resources using EPA’s data. Prizes total $50,000. Read more about this challenge and how to apply.
