Today's question:
Q: Is it still true that purchasing a redesign in year one is a bad idea because supposed bugs need to be worked out?
A: Depends a lot on the automaker and the extent of the redesign. If it's a 'freshening,' which happens about half-way through a vehicle's life, then it's less likely for bugs to have been introduced. Same hardware, different cosmetics (grille, bumpers taillights, etc.) to look new. If it's a full re-make, more chances for bugs. But if the automaker has a good record for reliability, that might be a minor concern. Of course, there are exceptions.
