Q:: Has Toyota installed a brake override system for all the new vehicles it sells? So, if I buy a Camry can I be confident if the accelerator sticks the gas to the engine will be cut off when I slam on the brakes?
A: It is in the process of doing so. Check the individual model you want. Salesperson doesn't know? Not listed on the window sticker menu of features? Floor the gas and nail the brakes. Does it stop OK and return the engine to idle? You're good to go (or stop).
