Toyota's recalls have put CTS in the global eye. But the company, founded in 1896 as Chicago Telephone Supply, does much more than make gas pedals. Its CEO says the issue "will not have any significant financial impact."

Today's question:
Q: Does the Hyundai Genesis stack up favorably against the Nissan Maxima, Murano and Lexus, Infiniti and Acura entry-level products?
A: Yes. And I expect as more and more people learn that, the price will go up and up. You've gotta like rear-drive cars, though. Many of the others you cite are front-drive. Probably a non-issue, but if you value fwd for traction in the slick stuff, or just like the front-heavy (somewhat secure) feeling of fwd, the rwd Genesis might not sit well with you.
