Car sales rocket as China tries to boost consumer spending By Kathy Chu and Calum MacLeod, USA TODAY Today's question: Q: What's your take on the 2010 Pontiac Vibe in general? A: The car and the GM Pontiac brand that sold, serviced, stood behind it are discontinued. Not good. Vibe is really a Toyota Corolla Matrix with different trim, but that's not so good either -- it's subject to the same recalls as the Matrix, but without a handy dealer network to perform the recall remedies. GM says some of its other dealers will take care of you, but that might not feel comforting to everybody. On the other hand, I recently drove a low-end Toyota Matrix (same as Vibe) with awd and found it marvelous in snow and unexpectedly pleasant, roomy, comfy, etc., so same would go for Vibe.
